Configs

In this example, I'll assume you've been following along and you have LightWave 8 installed to a folder called D:\LightWave_80.

1. Open an explorer (My Computer) window
2. Navigate to D:\LightWave_80
3. In the RIGHT window (D:\LightWave_80), create another new folder:
   
4. In the menu, choose File > New > Folder
5. Enter the name for the folder: Configs
6. Open the folder and move the window off to the right



7. Open another explorer (My Computer) window
8. Move this window to the left
9. In the LEFT window, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings
10. Open the folder for your login ID
11. Select all the LightWave .cfg files
12. Your screen should look something like this:

If you have not previously made changes to your LightWave configuration that you want to keep, just delete them all - they'll automatically be recreated later. You can skip ahead to set up shortcut icons.

If there are changes you need to keep, just drag-and-drop the files to the D:\LightWave_80\Configs window to copy them there. Then click here for how to edit your config files
