It seems that later versions of LightWave are having problems with firewalls blocking communication between Layout and Modeler and the Hub.
My first suggestion is to read hub-ble trouble, but there is always the option to run without the Hub.
Create shortcuts to launch Layout and Modeler on the desktop or in the Start Menu (if they don't already exist).
I suggest you rename them with the version numbers as appropriate, for example, Layout_85 and Modeler_85.
Right-click each icon and select Properties from the context menu.
Add the text -cD:\LightWave_85\Configs -0 to the existing text in the Target box. Obviously, you would adapt this as necessary, depending on the LightWave version, and where you've installed it.
Hit "OK" and you're done.
