LightWave Updates

Let's assume that we have LightWave 8 installed (as previously described) in D:\LightWave_80, and that NewTek have just released LightWave 8.2.

Here's what to do:

1. Open an explorer (My Computer) window
2. Go to the D: drive and make a copy the LightWave_80 folder
   - You can drag with the right mouse button and select "Copy Here" or use the File Menu to Copy and then Paste.
3. You now have a folder called "Copy of LightWave_80"
4. Rename the folder to LightWave_82
   - You can hit F2, use the File Menu -> Rename, or right-click and select "Rename"
5. Run the update installer, using D:\LightWave_82 as the destination

Once you're happy that the latest version hasn't caused any problems, you can simply delete the folder with the previous version.

As further updates, such as 8.3, 8.5 and 9.0 come along, simply repeat the steps above.
